PainBrief is built to help you remember, organise, and share information about your pain. It is a tracking tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice.
PainBrief is not registered or approved as a medical device with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other regulatory authority. It is not designed for, and should not be relied on for, the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease, condition, or injury.
The information PainBrief displays — charts, severity scores, trends, suggestions, reports — is your own data reformatted for your convenience. It is not medical advice. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you have regarding a medical condition or treatment.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read in this app or in a report generated by this app.
PainBrief does not diagnose conditions and does not infer what is causing your pain. Identifying triggers, time patterns, or affected zones inside the app is purely statistical — it summarises information you entered. Correlation in the data is not causation, and patterns in your logs are not a diagnosis.
The medication and dose tracking features are a memory aid, not a prescribing tool. PainBrief does not check interactions, contraindications, allergies, or appropriate dosing. Always follow the prescribing instructions of your doctor or pharmacist and the manufacturer's product information.
Vitals imported from Apple Health are displayed as recorded by your own devices, sensors, or manual entries. PainBrief does not verify the accuracy of this data. Some Apple Health values (such as smartwatch heart rate) are not medical-grade measurements.
The PDF reports PainBrief generates are intended to help structure a conversation with your healthcare team. They are not clinical records, are not validated for diagnostic use, and should be read together with — never instead of — your existing medical records and your clinician's own assessment.
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make on the basis of information in PainBrief. The Developer accepts no liability for outcomes arising from the use or misuse of the app, to the maximum extent permitted by law. See our Terms of Service for the full liability terms.
PainBrief is intended for use by adults. If you are using PainBrief on behalf of a minor, you do so under the supervision of a parent or guardian and a qualified healthcare professional.
