QuoteBook is a quote browsing and self-regulation application developed by Andrew Patrick. The short version: nothing leaves your device.
QuoteBook does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Your favourites, reminder preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device.
QuoteBook does not require account creation. There is no login, no email collection, and no user registration.
QuoteBook does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. There are no ads in the app.
If you enable reminders, QuoteBook uses your device's local notification system to deliver quotes at your chosen times. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device and do not involve any external server.
The app contains optional links that open in your device's browser: a "Suggest a Quote" link that prepares an email (handled by your email app), a "Buy Me a Coffee" link to buymeacoffee.com/andrewpatrick, and a link to my other app, PainBrief. QuoteBook does not transmit any data when you tap these links — your browser or email app handles them.
QuoteBook contains no in-app purchases. The app is fully free.
All user data — favourites, reminder settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. Nothing is uploaded to any server.
Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling QuoteBook removes all associated data from your device.
QuoteBook does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app contains no user-generated content, no social features, and no data collection.
If this policy changes, the updated date at the top will reflect that. Material changes will also be announced via the app's release notes.
